The upcoming 'Star Trek Special' one-shot from Wildstorm Comics features six Trek tales by a variety of creative talent, featuring charactes from all four Trek series. The tales are :

In 'A Rolling Stone Gathers No Nanoprobes', written by Andy Mangels and Mike Martin with art by Paul Neary (JLA), the Borg tries to assimilate a new life form that can't even possibly exist, on a mining planet populated mostly by Hortas.

In 'When the Stars Come A-calling', written by Ben Raab (Legend of The HankMan) with art by John Lucas (Starman), we look at the events that drove young writer Benny Russell (played by Avery Brooks in DS9's "Far Beyond The Stars") to the pulp science fiction genre for a career.

In 'The Wake', written by Jeff Lang with art by Steve Lieber, Ambassador Spock, Admiral McCoy and Captain Scott reunite for a final goodbye to their friend, James T. Kirk, just after his death in 'Star Trek Generations'. For exclusive TrekWeb interviews with Jeff and Steve , go to

Writer Ian Eddigdon (X-Force) and artist Carlos Mota (Excalibur) tells the tragic story of James Kirk's reunion with his nephew, Peter Kirk.

In 'The Legacy of Elenor Dain', written by science fiction novelist Christopher Hinz with art by Tommy Lee Edwards, the TNG crew most solve the strange tale behind a lost artist, the popular Elenor Dain.

In 'Exercises of Futile', written by Stuart Moore (Zendra) with art by Gordon Purcell (Robin), Seven of Nine tries everything at her disposal into figuring out a faster way to return the U.S.S Voyager to the Alpha Quadrant.

Painted cover (featuring all four captains and the original Enterprise- see above) by John Van Fleet (The X-Files, Xena, Star Wars).
