Comics Continuum website has just posted the cover and info on Wildstorm Comics's upcoming new 'Trek' four-issue mini-series, 'Star Trek : Divided We Fall'.
Star Trek Divided We Fall #1
Written by John Ordover and David Mack, art and cover (below image) by Andrew Currie and Richard Bennett.
For thousands of years, Trill society has been dominated by the Joined --
those few Trill who have been selected to carry within them a worm-like
symbiont whose mind merges with each of theirs. Joined Trill run the
government, lead in the arts and sciences, and generally decide how society
works for the entire race. But their time in power now may be coming to an
end...
The crews of The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine unite for an exciting
crossover that ignites the Trill conflict and features the comic-book debut
of the brand-new members of the Deep Space Nine crew introduced in Pocket
Books` new line of Star Trek novels. STAR TREK: DIVIDED WE FALL is a 4-issue
WildStorm Productions miniseries cowritten by well-known Pocket Books Star
Trek editor and scriptwriter John Ordover & Deep Space Nine scriptwriter
David Mack, with art and covers by Andrew Currie (STAR TREK: THE NEXT
GENERATION -- THE KILLING SHADOWS) and Richard Bennett (BRASS).
The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E, under the command of Captain Jean-Luc
Picard, receives an urgent distress call from a shuttle carrying Odan, a
Trill ambassador. At the same time, Lieutenant Ezri Dax, stationed on Deep
Space Nine, receives word that Lenara Kahn, her spouse in a previous
lifetime, has been kidnapped. Ezri must return home to Trill at once or
Lenara will die. The Enterprise also finds itself drawn to Trill, bringing
the wounded Ambassador Odan -- for whom the planet represents a last chance
at survival.
When they arrive at the planet, they find all is not well. A revolutionary
group of unjoined Trill is out to destroy all the symbionts on the planet and
with them, the hosts they are joined to. Captain Picard and the Enterprise
must work with Elias Vaughn, the new commander of the U.S.S. Defiant, to stop
a civil war that might cost Dax and Odan their lives and bring Trill to the
edge of destruction.
On stores on May 9, 2001.
