Dept: Series Five
Vintage 'Trek' tipster 'MikeJonas', who over the years has been a reliable source for 'Voyager' spoilers as well as for the 'TNG' movies has been somewhat silent over the past year, with traditional informants providing scant and sometimes contradictory info on the new 'Star Trek' series. While he says he is still unable to get any firm confirmation of the casting sheet, any of the casting rumors, or the premise of the show (though he insists that at least one source says it will be a prequel, even though some of that particular source's other comments sometimes don't mesh with known information given by Rick Berman), today Jonas has informed TrekWeb that according to reports he's receiving, 'Trek' direction vet James Conway could very well be in line to direct the pilot of Series Five. Conway has directed episodes of all three newer series as well as the Borg interactive movie and his episode credits include:
- "Justice"
- "The Neutral Zone"
- "Frame of Mind"
- "Duet"
- "Necessary Evil"
- "The 37's"
- "The Way of the Warrior"
- "Persistance of Vision"
- "Little Green Men"
- "Death Wish"
- "Innocence"
- "Shattered Mirror"
- "For the Cause"
- "Apocalypse Rising"
Any official confirmation of this from Paramount is as yet unannounced; nor has this info been confirmed with other sources. 'MikeJonas', for those who are famililar, has a pretty good track record for inside info, but as with anything, we'll have to wait and see. |
