First Look At Enterprise Sets On Entertainment Tonight Tomorrow PLUS! Teaser Pics Now!

Entertainment Tonight will finally feature ENTERPRISE on tomorrow night's edition and TrekWeb will strive to bring the video to you, though bandwidth could pose a serious problem (contact us if you can donate web space or bandwidth to serve the video tomorrow!). In the meantime, Tim over at Section 31 has been sharp-eyed enough to capture the following teaser pics shown in tonight's edition of the entertainment news magazine, showing anchor Marc Steinas being led around the sets by Scott Bakula. These particular shots are the first look at the new sets and would appear to be the engine room, clearly much more submarine-esque and cramped as Rick Berman described this morning in TV Guide.

Will Archer be Boldly Going?

This ain't really related 2 the topic of the set but i wanna know if John Archer will be saying the famous "Space, the final frontier. These are the Voyages..." speech on the new show, which we haven't heard since about 1994 on the TNG finale. If he is he better say "where no MAN has gone before" and not "where no ONE has gone before", coz i just can't take it when they move from the established timeline!

I've seen tuna cans strewn around the streets of the Tenderloin that look better than that Red October-looking crap.

While I'm still rather dissatisfied with the exterior design, these interior pics are EXCELLENT... I love the more "function over form" look to the engine room... or whatever that is... I also like the bridge shots. Very metallic, functional, yet not offensive to the eye. The interior designers (led by Mr. Zimmerman, I presume?) have won BIG TIME with this one... these are the best sets since DS9.

Very Kewl

I like how cramped the engine room set looks compared to the spacious engine rooms of the other starships from the future. With cramped sets like this and if the crew have to go on continuous missions, it would be neat having an episode or two dealing with space dementia. That'd make for an interesting episode and could result in a fight on top of the warp core.

Rick Berman, you ARE the weakest link. Goodbye.

that we'll eventually see a fist fight on top of the warp core one day between Archer and someone. That would be cool.

Navy Vet

As a veteran of the US Navy, I have seen a number of engine rooms in various ships. This certainly has the look and feel of the real thing and that seems appropriate for the era we are entering in ENT. The few shots of what I'll assume are passageways are also very reminiscent of the lower decks of many ships (where engineering normally is) and of submarine interiors. Given that the shows creators went on-board some subs to get an idea of what it was like in small, cramped vessels, this is all loking very realistic.

I believe this is good-bye to all of those fancy staterooms, holodeck spaces, dining room looking mess decks, and office building styled ready rooms. This may be the most down-to-earth, gritty, realistic Trek yet.

Very cool engine room! Looks very real. Looks like from the angled tubes coming off the core that it's located in the pod between the two nacelles,.

Deja Vu

Anybody stood in the queue for Disneyland's Space Mountain lately? Eerily familiar....

Kidding aside, I think the interior and exterior designs for the latest and first starship Enterprise are shaping up nicely. Now all we need are some good stories.

I do get a sense of excitement and...fun...from the cast, producers and studio that I don't remember perceiving with DS9 and Voyager. Hope it carries over to the product we eventually see.

Looks Impressive...

for what I assume to be the engine room. That goes along with the placements of the warp core before, laying it down instead of standing it up. Certainly means the ship wouldn't have to be too tall.

I wish people would get over the look of the ship. I don't think it fits with continuity, but when one considers that we've seen maybe three or four ships from that entire timeperiod, that certainly leaves room for interpretation. Now there's another petition to change the ship design! Get over it! It's set and done. They're not going to change anything.

Looks like the warp core is turned on it's side in a horizontal fashion.

I guess we don't have to worry about Kirk's ship looking less advanced than Archer's vessel! :)

You will be watching ENTERPRISE because...
It's a 'Star Trek' series after all, I don't care about the producers, actors, or writers!
Scott Bakula. He is a fan-favorite because of his work on 'Quantum Leap'.
Jolene Blalock . Sexploitation be damned, she is hotter than Jeri Ryan!
It's not set in the over-used 24th Century, full of tecnobabble, quantum anomalies or Borg [yet]!
If nothing else, the UPN promos have done it for me!
Who said I will be watching? Berman and Braga will destroy 'Star Trek' with this prequel concept!
