Tim Russ and his Fan Association are sponsoring a summer charity auction that will begin on Saturday, June 30th, and run for 6-7 weeks. There will be new items up for auction each week, in all price ranges. This gives you time to browse, compare and save money for something coming up for auction.

Items range from action figures, Activision games, books, T-shirts, autographed photos and items from the Voyager cast, partial and completely autographed cast photo/s, autographed call sheets from the finale "Endgame", autographed original scripts, and the last item in the bidding war - Tuvok's Ears (autographed by Tim). The majority of the proceeds will be donated to select charities with a very small portion going to auction expenses. All of the items are already up for review, with the first week's bidding beginning June 30th.

Benefiting Charities: Zenith Youth Homes, Wildlife Waystation, El Modena Family Shelter, and Holy Family Services.

In other news, UPN has released more details of the upcoming 'Iron Chef USA: Showdown in Las Vegas', a new series of specials adapted from the popular Japanese culinary show, and featuring William Shatner as "Chairman". According to the network, Shatner will preside over the "smoking-hot action as the world's top chefs roast, toast, and sauté their way to gustatory glory."

Producer Larry Thompson will be the executive producer of the special, that will be staged in a sporting event-type atmosphere, featuring "frenetic culinary battles" with today's most talented chefs. They will be racing against the clock "to create outstanding original cuisine," says UPN.com.

Two one-hour episodes of "Iron Chef USA" specials will be taped in front of a live audience at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

In each show, a Challenger (chef) is sent into the Chairman's "Kitchen Stadium," a giant cooking arena, where he or she competes against one of four Iron Chefs who specialize in American, Italian, French and Asian cooking. The competing chefs are given one hour to prepare an exotic meal in which each course must feature a secret ingredient that is revealed only moments before the battle begins. A play-by-play announcer and a culinary commentator offer insights into each chef's personality and cooking style, in addition to offering delicious facts for fanatical "foodies." At contest's end, a panel of four celebrity judges tastes and critiques the food and then determines "whose cuisine will reign supreme."

In his role as "Chairman," William Shatner will set each match, reveal the secret ingredient, declare "Allez Cuisine" (French for "start cooking") and announce the judges' final decision.

OPINION POLLS
ENTERPRISE has been revealed this week and we'd like to know how you would rate the show so far based on the new Enterprise NX-01, the interior set design, the new costumes, and any other info that you may already possess!
(A) Spectacular! The first looks offered this week reveal a series with immense potential and more excitement for Star Trek than I've felt since the days of TNG!
(B) Impressive, but cautiously so! What I've seen so far has promise and most of it is in the right direction, but I will restrain my jubilation for after the premiere!
(C) Uninteresting! The photos I've seen so far reveal a series that lacks serious originality in artistic design and I am open-minded yet skeptical of its potential!
(D) Horrifying! What we've been shown so far is unoriginal and unexciting, revealing a series unexcuseably violative of continuity and poorly developed; Paramount will be lucky if I tune in!
