Here are some of the week's more interesting threads worth checking out... First side view of Enterprise online by RAMA, whose early post about the USA Today side view photo has sparked responses about the new Enterprise's look and its mysteries. New Uniforms -- definitive reactions? by SteveKrutzler, whose post is merely one of many about the look of the new ENTERPRISE uniforms. Are they good/bad/ugly/boring/unoriginal? Check out this thread! Voyager Apologists, Earth Calling. by Mr. Hippo, who has sought to combine all the great Voyager debates into one, single challenge: can you name FIVE "great" Voyager episodes? One thing I never wish to see on "Enterprise"... by Tommunist, who has started a humorous thread about hoping Rick Berman doesn't think now's the time to introduce on-screen bathrooms into Star Trek. 22nd Century Borg on Enterprise by UNCCarlos, who thinks it would be cool to see the 22nd century Borg show up in ENTERPRISE, but who has sparked as many negative responses hoping we'll never see the Borg ever again! Trek X Dream Team by Brikar, who asked everyone for their dream list of creative personnel behind the upcoming 'Star Trek X'. From Jerry Bruckheimer to Michael Bay to Orson Welles, it's a feeding frezny! "Progressive" Trek by sheski, who has started an [amazingly] civil discussion about the neccessity for inclusion of a gay character on Star Trek. Arguing that Star Trek is behind the times with regard to this issue, many posters think it would only cheapen the gay issue with yet another novelty treatment of gays on mainstream television. Mr. Hippo's Best and Worst Starfleet Uniforms by Mr. Hippo, who knows that no discussion on the new uniforms is ever definitive and so has assembled a ranking of the previous Trek uniforms from best to worse, which others have rearranged according to their own opinions. Should 'Enterprise' follow established canon? by falcon, who sums up all the discussion of blue nacelles and monochromatic bulkheads into a statement on the continuity of ENTERPRISE that says some things are going to be changed but it's still "Star Trek" and has to be canon. Disagree? Agree? Check out this discussion! Greatest ST Series that Never Was... by Mr. Hippo, who has (yet again) lauched discussion with his own rendition of a "show bible" that he would've liked to have seen made into a Star Trek series; others have offered their best candidates as well. Where DS9 went wrong by JimMorrison (which is amazing in and of itself), who has sparked discussion about DS9's handling of religion and where some how posited yet again that the third Trek series was actually "Anti-Trek". Borg Queen... what the hell? by Mr. Hippo, who is perplexed by the Borg Queen's statement in "Unimatrix Zero I" that "It's a shame you're not alive to enjoy your disembodiment, it's the epitomy of perfection" and then delves into an analysis on the efficiency of the Borg assimilation technique and the effects of the regressive mutation featured in that episode. What Makes NX-01 So Special? by Jean-Luc, who wonders what the experimental registration number on the new Enterprise symbolizes. "Enterprise" Borg cameo by UNCCarlos, who declares "I, for one, would like to see Archer make the Borg Queen his bitch"; nuff said--check it out!
