TrekToday's impressive source, 'Faith', has chimed in once again and managed to come with yet more spoilers from the script of what she is still calling 'Star Trek: Nemesis'.
This newest information reveals that Captain Picard's character will face the theme of old age just as Kirk did in 'Star Trek II'. In the "new Ten Forward", according to 'Faith', Picard admits to Data that he is an "old fart" over some Irish Whiskey. Picard will take immense enjoyment from some futuristic "off-roading" in a new Starfleet jeep on the planet Kolarin-III -- the planet where Data's early prototype brother 'B-9' is discovered. This "free-spirited driving panache," according to the script, is made possible by a new "Argo" shuttle capable of carrying land-based vehicles.
Taking another page from 'Trek II', the Enterprise-E will take on new, young crewmembers at the end of the film, including a new First Officer.
Commander William Riker, having been married to Deanna Troi at the beginning of the film, will take his own command of the U.S.S. Titan by film's end and get to play some trombone before the adventure's over.
Commander Worf gives up his ambassador's post to the Klingon homeworld, noting that he is not suited to the life of a diplomat. Worf overcomes some hatred for the Romulans by the end of the film, when he witnesses two Romulan vessels sacrifice themselves in the final battle with Shinzon's warbird. Worf is one of "few", according to 'Faith', original officers to remain onboard the Big E by the movie's conclusion.
Counselor Deanna Troi will once again pilot the Enterprise, hopefully with better results than her last stint at the helm. When the helm officer is sucked into space before a forcefield can insulate the rest of the bridge when its forward half is blown apart by Shinzon's "Scimitar" warbird, Troi takes over. Troi also uses her telepathic abilities to probe the mind of a Romulan to help locate the cloaked enemy ship, after earlier being "violated" by the Romulan's intrusion into her own mind. Troi joins Riker on the U.S.S. Titan.
Doctor Beverly Crusher will leave the Enterprise to take a post at Starfleet Medical, and Commander Geordi LaForge will get together with girlfriend Leah Brohms and remain with Picard on the Enterprise.
'Faith' also reveals that Janeway -- as many perhaps feared -- has been promoted to the rank of Admiral and has a cameo via subspace communications to consult Picard on his mission.
