First Look At 'TMP: Director's Edition' DVD Cover Art |

The Digital Bits web site's daily column revealed the cover art to the right as that destined for the upcoming DVD release of 'Star Trek: The Motion Picture - The Director's Edition'. As reported here at TrekWeb last week, the DVD is slated to hit the street November 6th with extras and a remastered version of director Robert Wise's 1979 film.

I understand that this is new artwork based on the same photographs of Kirk, Spock, and Ilia as the original movie poster. Does anyone know where I can find an image of the original poster to compare this to?

..with the new beatiful logo. Gosh, can't wait for this (2-disk) DVD. Kudos to Mr Wise and the Foundation team who have the guts to restore this great (in my humble opinion) epic movie.
