More nappy-ass Borg graphics from some epileptic with a Commodore 64. Thanks, Activision...bet you wish Pitfall could make a comeback. Fat Chance.

The storyline and the graphics are engaging, looks like a convulted Voyager 'Scorpion' and TNG 'Best of both worlds' mish-mash. I am trying to weigh if I should buy the DS9 new game they have 'Dominion wars' or this one. Both are war-driven though I find Armada II story-line as more engaging. I am going to think a little bit more but I am leaning towards Armada II though I never tried the first one

any better than in Armada 1. I wonder if they even updated the graphics engine for this? Looks like a collection of new sprites to me.
I just hope they fix whatever caused it to crash perpetually on two of my boxes with vastly different hardware. When it ran, the first one was fun enough, in the beginning anyway.
Maybe Activision will send TW an advanced review copy?

But I did not like the limted number of ship classes you had but looking at them screenshots we are going get to have loads more ships i think i can see an Intrepid in one of the shots at last i have been waiting for ages to command an Intrepid after all what Voyager stood up too it should be a one great ship. I also hope they make the Defiant more powerful like it is in the TV shows it was a bit too weak last time i am also glad that the ship sizes are going to be better cant wait for this to be released

Sure it had its problems, but I still had fun with it.
I note with dismay that you only play as Federation, Klingon, and Borg in the game. Does that mean on the multiplayer missions you can't be Romulan, Cardassian, etc?
I also saw an Intrepid-class starship in one of the screenshots. I wonder what other familiar ships have been added.
BTW, is it just me or is that a Galaxy-class stardrive section fighting the Fusion cube in the first screenshot? I couldn't make out a separated saucer section anywhere, but does this mean we'll a) be able to play with Galaxy-class ships in the multiplayer missions regularly, and b) will they be able to separate?

I think this game could be great, I just hate how it seems game developers will release the first version of a game, which is essentially a work-in-progress, only to release the sequel a year later, which seems invariably like they just FINISHED working on the first one and finally included everything that SHOULD'VE been in the first one.
Oh well. That aside, I look forward to playing this game. But will I be able to have 50 starships fighting on screen without my PIII 600 w/ 128 RAM system crashing? Or my 500 Celeron w/ 64 MB ram system?
Thank god they fixed the ship sizes, though, and it seems that all around this game is going to have the depth that the first lacked. Essentially, THIS should've been the first but the needed some money to fund development so they released it half-way through development and called it Armada I.
