"I DON'T CARE" The Destroyer of True Science Fiction

It's a 'Star Trek' series after all, I don't care about the producers, actors, or writers! 37.5% (21 Votes)

I'm sure the casual and new fans are tired of all the complaints but there's a reason People. We saw problems with TNG, and DS9 and our case they were lessened to and both shows had growth toward the end of DS9 with the Dominion war they shocked us with the quick destruction of a Galaxy class Starship at the hands of a Jimhadar crash and burn.

It became one of those OW Crap it's on now episodes but then went flat. No mention of the most advanced ship the Flag Ship Enterprise E, not even a fly by in any of the battles. We didn't have to see Picard, Riker has done DS9 without a thought he could have done one communique and it would have been fine but it was overlooked bad Idea.

We grumbled but let it go, Then B&B started Voyager a bold new show all his he boasted about now more Klingons Romulans Vulcans nothing a new start across the galaxy why? He was tired of being compared or having to deal with Classic Trek and TNG, so they shut us out and did what they wanted again we tried to say hay your show has potential it has a cool ship bigger budget great actors but it's weak this is what you can do to pump up the show they said screw you this is ours.

What happened well if you don't know I guess you don't care, Trek is then dead for sure! Star Trek is a Science Fiction show not Sci-fi show. What's the difference? Science Fiction is a well written story with a possibility of becoming reality because it has some bases on fact the stories are captivating and leave you feeling like your imagination, feelings, reasoning have been pricked not insulted. You leave feeling wowed not that was ok that happens some time but come on that's when it's Sci-fi it's more of a T&A flash bang look at me kind of thing which is fine when that's all you want.

The only time this has happened with trek is when they have been force by the Network execs. They have forced changes or felt the story to heavy for us audience to get. This is what plagued TOS and ultimately cased it to be canceled.

In a nut shell "Spock's Brain" "I Mudd" Sci-fi, "The Conscience of the King," "Amok Time," "Mirror Mirror," "Balance of Terror," "The paradise Syndrome," "The Enterprise Incident." Let me stop, I think you get the point these are Science fiction.

This is why TOS is put in such high regard because THEY HAD TO DO IT, with a little budget and a Network that just wanted a shoot the bad guys show. So by the last season they had to give in to that wish more than not and trek died.

Only the fans who saw through the campy sci-fi to the real guts of the Science fiction episodes did Trek get reborn like a Phoenix. To only now begin to crash and burn because it's heading back to a new low of Sci-fi look, what I can do with this million dollar budget. Is it better writing, no it's look at my Holotech and new ships and how real that lump on my forehead looks.

To survive you Must have balance or you end up with more crap than Wow I can't believe what I just watched man that made me think and looked cool like B5 did after the week first and part of second season it all was just WoW I miss that with trek and we will never get it back as long as any of you "I don't care" types don't mind a mouth full of more half done hi budged crap being dished out like the 75% of Voyager.

Not preaching but really people think about it, lets have some constructive criticism let us know what you think.

No matter how much you say screw it, The needs of the many out way the needs of the Two B's. Keep Trek alive do it right

You will be watching ENTERPRISE because...
It's a 'Star Trek' series after all, I don't care about the producers, actors, or writers!
Scott Bakula. He is a fan-favorite because of his work on 'Quantum Leap'.
Jolene Blalock . Sexploitation be damned, she is hotter than Jeri Ryan!
It's not set in the over-used 24th Century, full of tecnobabble, quantum anomalies or Borg [yet]!
If nothing else, the UPN promos have done it for me!
Who said I will be watching? Berman and Braga will destroy 'Star Trek' with this prequel concept!
