Dept: General Star Trek

An informant chimes into the Dark Horizons web site to say that a Paramount representative at a recent DVD release presentation confirmed that 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' would arrive on DVD early next year. According to the report, the first season will beam into stores in February, with the second season following in April. The rest of the series is slated to be released in similar manner over the next year.

Can't wait till the first season comes out. Just dying to get my hands on the first season classic "The Naked Now". Wondering how the new print of the episode is going to look especially with that scene with Data and a scantily clad Tasha Yar. Man, she certainly was the hottest piece of ass in Trek history. That is before Jeri Ryan showed up. Loved how her ass used to jiggle whenever she walked. Hoping the extras will be good, too.

i couldn't help it. too many releases: Trek, Simpsons, Star Wars, Smashing Pumpkins. I give up. just give me DVD goodness. (seasons to buy: 3 - 6) and hell, maybe 7 just to have "All Good Things" on DVD. . . I refuse to buy season 1. Season 2, maybe just for "Q Who".

This delay had better be good. I'm not sure if I'll buy if it doesn't have extras, like the 30-second trailers for each ep and (though I doubt it) outtakes. Hell, they should release each season backwards from season 7! MAYBE I'll buy season one, even though they couldn't even get the stardates straight. Definitely seasons five and six. Now I can watch the Enterprise explode over and over in Cause and Effect without worrying about damaging the ep. What else should they jam in there? Production notes? Art?

that Dark Horizons would have something on this when The Digital Bits does not. Until it is on that site, or startrek.com, I don't believe it.

How will they do it?

Will it be released with each season in a box set like X-Files did, or will they be available as single dvds?

You will be watching ENTERPRISE because...
It's a 'Star Trek' series after all, I don't care about the producers, actors, or writers!
Scott Bakula. He is a fan-favorite because of his work on 'Quantum Leap'.
Jolene Blalock . Sexploitation be damned, she is hotter than Jeri Ryan!
It's not set in the over-used 24th Century, full of tecnobabble, quantum anomalies or Borg [yet]!
If nothing else, the UPN promos have done it for me!
Who said I will be watching? Berman and Braga will destroy 'Star Trek' with this prequel concept!
