TV Guide Online has provided some additional information about episode 8, "Breaking the Ice," involving the bethrotal of T'Pol and mysterious transmissions to a Vulcan ship:
"A Vulcan starship interferes with Archer's probe of an oversize comet in a smartly-scripted episode that highlights T'Pol's private turmoil.
"Early episodes of this Star Trek prequel have emphasized the tensions between humans and Vulcans, and no series character embodies that strife more than the icy T'Pol (Jolene Blalock). Here, circumstances force a character thaw when Trip (Connor Trinneer) becomes privy to the fact that T'pol is sending coded---and personal---messages to the Vulcan vessel Ti'Mir. Archer (Scott Bakula) is less communicative with T'Mir's captain until an emergency compels the Earth skipper to swallow his pride."
