According to the official STAR TREK web site, Patrick Stewart will reprise his famous one man performance of Charles Dickens's A CHRISTMAS CAROL, with shows in Los Angeles and New York this holiday season. The performance earned Stewart a 1991 Drama Desk Award for Best Solo Performance and in London he received an Olivier Award for Best Entertainment. The proceeds from all performances will go to various charities, including the September 11th Campaign of the Actors Fund of America.

Stewart will perform his acclaimed solo production in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 15th at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 16th at 3:00 p.m. at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex at Cal State Los Angeles. Stewart then heads to New York City where he will perform the show at the Marquis Theater from December 24-30.

Tickets for the Los Angeles performance are on sale now via Ticketmaster or the Luckman Box Office at (323) 343-6600 and tickets for the New York shows will go on sale December 10th. Act quickly!

In other news, Kate Mulgrew will make her Hartford stage debut as the famous Katherine Hepburn (Mulgrew's idol, can you tell?) in the play TEA AT FIVE, written by Matthew Lombardo. The production follows Hepburn as she reflects on her life and her romance with screen legend Spencer Tracy. The play will run February 7th - March 10, 2002.

Visit the Hartford Stage for ticket information.
