    Dept: Star Trek BBS Update

Here are this week's active BBS discussions. It's repeat-hell, but TREK fans are still talking it up!

  • Evolving Archer as a character
by DeQueue, who asks the BBS what the writers should do to improve Archer down the line, citing Picard's mediocrity in the first season of TNG as an example of a character eventually successfully realized.

  • More 1701-E in X, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
by zxfusion, who wants NEMESIS to feature some great long-takes of the Enterprise-E.

  • What I REALLY think of ENTERPRISE
by Trips McCoy, who lays out a critical assessment of the latest TREK, saying it has potential has so far fails in the execution department.

  • What's wrong with Enterprise?
by Urithiel, who also critiques the series negatively, saying among other things, the characters seem flat.

  • Archer: Badly written or acted?
by Greenspan, who puts the question to the BBS bluntly.

  • Because of Future Guy, should Enterprise be considered an alternate universe
by O. Deus, who has started a discussion about whether the entire series will become a twist of an alternate universe plot.

If you haven't joined the discussion, takea advantage of your Holiday time off to do so! Join the STAR TREK BBS in three easy steps by beaming on over to www.startrekbbs.com.

With the new STAR TREK near the half-way mark, how would you rate ENTERPRISE overall?
9-10: Excellent! The series is superb in every respect!
7-8: Great! The series is wonderful with only a few rough edges!
5-6: Good. The potential is there but the series has yet to tap into it.
3-4: Mediocre! So far the series is not much different than previous TREKs and the quality is questionable.
1-2: Abhorrent! The series is rotten through and through from premise to execution!
    No vote: Choices unacceptable!
