Tom Hardy Talks About His Role As the Villain 'Shinzon'

Empire Online spoke to actor Tom Hardy at his recent press conference for Ridley Scott's BLACK HAWK DOWN about his role in the upcoming STAR TREK NEMESIS. As first reported at TrekWeb last week, Hardy has been cast as the mysterious villain 'Shinzon' in the film, which has already been shooting for a couple weeks now.

Hardy confirmed months of rumors about the character, saying, "He’s like a clone. It’s kind of the Prince and the Pauper. It’s what happens when you put the same person through a different course of life."

Referring to the Reman characters, Hardy said, "I’ve got some very tall vampires to look after that’s all I’m saying."

He does admit, however, that he is not a TREK fan, "Not at all…of course I will be afterwards."
