Executive producer Rick Berman spoke to Sci-Fi Wire yesterday about the ENTERPRISE theme song "Faith of the Heart."
"I'm in the horrible minority of people who like the song," Berman said in an interview. "I think it fits beautifully. I think it's a song that's got a lot of hopefulness and uplifting qualities to it. And I like it. I've met a lot of other people who like it, but I've also heard a tremendous amount of banter about people who don't. And what's a Star Trek series without something for people to hate?"
Meanwhile, co-executive producer Brannon Braga spoke in the latest Star Trek: The Magazine about the long-term arcs of ENTERPRISE, saying of the villain from the future, "They have several possiblities in mind but they aren't settled on any, they may come up with another possiblity in the future." Braga also adds once again that "you want to figure out about 25% and leave the remaining 75% up to inspiration. They know where a lot of things stand." Does this mean that the creators are making this up as they go along?"
Braga also says that the Suliban will return another couple times throughout this first season and while ENTERPRISE charts the course of exploring how Earth and humanity eventually come to found the Federation with other races, continuity-wise, ENTERPRISE "will stay true to what has been established, will cross continuity only after careful thought and for a good reason."
