The Nine Network, Australia's largest broadcast network, recently began running teaser trailers for ENTERPRISE. TrekWeb has received word from at least one viewer who saw the ad during an episode of FARSCAPE in the Sydney area. Though the commercial did not specify a date the series would debut, similar ads for VOYAGER aired before that series started on Nine several years ago.
Nine has been the home of all the newest STAR TREK series for Australian fans; THE NEXT GENERATION, DEEP SPACE NINE, and VOYAGER have all aired on the network, which has sometimes taken flak from fans for its often late-night scheduling and frequent airtime changes of the various series.
The Austalian television ratings season begins in February, so this could be an indication that ENTERPRISE will begin airing there early next year. Typically Nine begins promotions of these sorts two months or so out from the beginning of the season. Nothing official yet, however.
