SFX Magainze's 'Trekspy' reports in the mag's latest issue that after excessive spending on the series premiere and other episodes, ENTERPRISE is being forced to keep its budget somewhat tight, resulting in episodes that utilize minimal set construction and special effects.
"We’re working on an episode written by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga..." [Shuttlepod One] "...where everything is being shot in a shuttlepod, they cutting everything back as far as possible. We’ll probably just put the pod on a gimbal and shake it around, stuff like that."
"We’ve also done a lot of scenes in episodes already where characters run around in the dark with flashlights, you can’t even tell where you are!"
(Thanks to The Great Link for the transcription).
