According to Zap2It, "NBC didn't have any problems keeping on top of the Wednesday ratings as the network pulled an 11.4 rating/18 share for the night, followed by CBS's 6.7/11. ABC, with the premiere of 'The Job', took a 6.0/10, followed by FOX's 5.2/8. UPN was fifth with a 4.2/6, followed by The WB's 3.6/5. NBC also took the 18-49 ratings for the night with a 6.6 rating, followed by FOX's 4.1 and ABC's 3.8. CBS was fourth with a 2.6."
CBS led the eight o'clock hour with '60 Minutes II' (8.1/13), followed by NBC's 'Ed' (7.4/12). ABC's duo of 'My Wife With Kids' and 'According to Jim' was third, taking a 7.0/11 for the hour. UPN and the new ENTERPRISE episode, 'Silent Enemy', took fourth place for the hour with a 5.6/8. This is consistent with ratings for the final first-run episodes of 2001, which seemed to level off between 5.5 and 6.5 in the overnight ratings.
FOX's rerun of 'That 70s Show' (4.9/8) and a new 'Grounded for Life' (4.8/8) was fifth and the WB trailed, as usual, with 'Dawson's Creek' (3.9/6).
