Ain't It Cool News' HERC is reporting that the new Andromeda episodes this weekend and next are those which lead to Trek veteran Robert Hewitt Wolfe being dismissed as Executive Producer of the Gene Roddenberry-created series.
HERC comments that Tribune Entertainment and Kevin Sorbo's problems with these episodes were multi-fold; namely, the ending of this weekend's episode "Bunker Hill" is a "downer", there is too much back story for the "casual viewer", and "Bunker Hill" does not focus on Sorbo's character, Captain Dylan Hunt.
Also, this was apparently the episode that Buffy the Vampire Slayer's James Marsters was to reprise his previous role on the science fiction series but Wolfe's superiors also balked at the extra expense of securing Marsters.
