Dominic Keating Knew Bakula Would Make ENT a "Hit"

HoustonChronicle.com has posted a New York Times Special Features interview by Ian Spelling with ENTERPRISE actor Dominic Keating. Keating talks about winning the role of Malcolm Reed, the impact of Scott Bakula, and the upcoming episode 'Shuttlepod One'.

"I always knew that Enterprise would be the hit that it is... John Billingsley and I were the first actors cast and at the last interview John told me he heard that Scott Bakula was going to be in it as Capt. Archer. The minute I heard that I thought, That's it. If Bakula takes the role, we're done. He's so perfect for this."

"Shuttlepod One' is a real eye-opener, a wonderful episode. It's Connor and me for 47 pages. You really get to know the personalities of these two guys... This episode is some of the best work I've ever done, if I may say so. I'm really excited to see how it turns out. I think we've done something quite extraordinary."
