Meanwhile, the site pans the brand new TNG novel "A Hard Rain," giving it an F and calling it "a plot so incredibly hackneyed that they wouldn't use it for an ANDROMEDA episode."

Bakula's 'Leap' Co-Star Dean Stockwell Already Guesting on ENT in "Detained"? |

Posting on the Completely Scott Forum, 'Margaret' reports that "Our good and generous friend in LA called to say that Dean [Stockwell] has just finished filming an episode of Enterprise!!!!!" The poster goes on to say the episode in question was "Detained," which has Archer and Mayweather stuck on a Mazarite detention center with Suliban prisoners.
While Scott Bakula has mentioned in interviews that seeing his old 'Quantum Leap' co-star guest on ENTERPRISE would be a welcome experience, no indication had been given that something of the sort would happen this season. It is likely that Stockwell's part, if this story is accurate, would be that of the detention center's commandante, 'Colonel Grat', who shares some intense scenes with Bakula's 'Archer' on the ethicality of the Mazarites' detention of potentially innocent Suliban in a story ringing with parallelism to American treatment of Japanese citizens during WWII and of course the potential for similar actions related to the U.S.'s "war on terrorism." It is worth noting, however, that there are several other male roles in "Detaind" that Stockwell could play.
While this information has not been confirmed, it would not be wholly surprising considering the plethora of moderately high-profile guest stars the series has courted thusfar in its freshman season. Prolific TREK guest Jeff Combs has already appeared in two episodes as a character likely to recur beyond the first season; Combs is also scheduled to appear as a new Ferengi character in the upcoming "Acqusition" alongside VOYAGER regular cast member Ethan Phillips; that episode, in turn, is to be followed by "Oasis," featuring the return of DS9er Rene Auberjonois in a guest role (see Rene's TrekWeb Interview for more info here). Game show host Tom Bergeron is also reportedly guesting in "Oasis." The previous-TREK guest star pool was tapped from the very beginning with frequent DS9 and VOY guest actor Vaughn Armstrong introduced in "Broken Bow" as 'Admiral Forrest', a recurring character; Armstrong also appeared briefly as an irate Klingon captain at the end of "Sleeping Dogs."
