Trek5.com has posted a full report with photos from this past weekend's Creation Entertainment 'Salute to Star Trek' convention in Sacramento, CA, featuring, among others, TREK stalwarts William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy.
Entertaining fans with amusing tales of being searched at airport security, the two actors managed to let some minor details slip regarding upcoming TREK film DVDs: When asked about possible cast commentaries on future Trek film DVDs, Nimoy replied, "We're doing those now I believe."
Shatner recalled he'd finished recording all of his. [I assume these are for II through VI.] "Haven't you finished recording your commentaries?" Shatner asked Nimoy. "Why are you waiting so long?" "I always come along behind you." Nimoy grinned. "You've always got to be the first one through the door!"
Shatner named his favorite TREK moment as "You Klingon bastard, you've killed my son!," and Nimoy went on, "I thought Bill was very brave to do what he did there. The way you played that scene... the way you fell back and missed the captain's chair, I didn't know at the time if you were clowning or what. But you played it so perfectly. Very touching." The cheering crowd seemed to agree.
The two also promote their upcoming projects, including an appearance by Lisabeth Shatner touting the upcoming launch of the actor's new site, WilliamShatner.com. For the full report with photographs, check out this page.
