TNG Season Two DVD Box Set Info/Date; Diane Warren Among This Morning's Oscar Nominees |

DavisDVD reported yesterday on the next TNG DVD box set, Season Two, slated for release on May 7th, according to the site. The reports says that all 22 episodes of the second season will be on six discs, DD 5.1 and 2.0 audio, with subtitles.
The extras will include:
- Mission Overview: Year Two — Cast and crew discussions of the major changes in Season Two. Includes interviews with Gene Roddenberry.
- Selected Crew Analysis: Year Two — An in-depth look at the growth of continuing characters, plus a look at new crew members.
- Departmental Briefing - Year Two: Production — Behind-the-scenes look at specific key episodes, including interviews with production staff.
- Departmental Briefing - Year Two: Memorable Missions — Second season episode discussions with production crew, including Rick Berman.
- Inside Starfleet Archives — An exclusive tour of an extraordinary array of Star Trek sets, props and much more.

In other news, ENTERPRISE theme songwriter Diane Warren was nominated this morning for an Academy Award for her song "There You'll Be," which appeared in last summer's PEARL HARBOR. Warren wrote the lyrics and music for the song. This is the sixth Oscar nod for Warren, who recently was nominated in 1999 for original song in MUSIC OF THE HEART.
