UPDATE: Zap2It today posted a story about James Doohan's bout with pneumonia, which reported that he has been in the hospital in Seattle, WA for 3 weeks and is recovering.

" "Star Trek's" Scotty is beaming up to better spirits, now that he's covering from a nasty bout of pneumonia. James Doohan, who turns 82 in March, was hospitalized about three weeks ago in Seattle, where he lives, with a case of pneumonia, the actor's publicist tells Zap2it. However, the worst appears to be over. Doohan is now recovering and is expected to return home soon."

Also, in a follow-up to its original report (see above) The Trekker Newsletter has confirmed the Zap2It report with Mr. Doohan's agents, who are quoted as saying, "He has pneumonia," stated the Steven's Group. "He is now getting ready to go into rehab for a week."
