The Trekker Newsletter has reported that Leonard Nimoy will be narrating a special performance by the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony of "Cantana of Bitter Herbs" by composer Ernst Toch on March 10, 2002 at 7:30pm. The performance will be held at the K.L. Peters Auditorium at Beverly Hills High School.
According to the report, "Ernst Toch was a prolific composer of orchestral and operatic music in Germany in the 1920?s and 30?s. Escaping the Nazi regime, Toch came to Hollywood where he was three times nominated for Academy Awards and won a Pulitzer Prize for his Third Symphony. His poignant and beautiful Cantata of the Bitter Herbs, will be performed at this concert for the first time in half a century."
