TrekToday's casting lists continue to flow, this time with updated information for "Vox Solis" and "Fallen Hero".
The former, directed by VOYAGER actress Roxann Dawson involves some insulted 'Kreetassens', who send an alien life form to nest in one of the NX-01's cargo bays. After taking crewmembers hostage, including Archer and Trip, T'Pol must work with the rest of the crew to overcome the alien and retrieve the captives.
This episode will have Reed inventing the first "force field" and feature the first major development of the Hoshi/T'Pol friendship promised in the series bible. Dawson and Dominic Keating have both spoken of this episode recently, mentioning the hanging apparatus that Scott Bakula and Connor Trinneer had to hang in for several hours during shooting.
Moving on, "Fallen Hero" was first reported on by TrekWeb a few weeks ago, with script pages then revealing a scene in which Archer rescues an expelled Vulcan ambassador in a shuttle pod. The latest pages reveal that ambassador has been expelled from the planet Mazar for unknown reasons, and the Enterprise is sent to retrieve him while initially on its way to the planet Risa (which won't appear until the later episode, "Two Days and Two Nights"). "Fallen Hero" will have Archer pushing the NX-01 to warp 5 for the first time and fleet operations with the Starfleet and the Vulcans restored.
