TNG and DS9 actor/director Michael Dorn revealed to Sci-Fi Wire today that he will direct the upcoming episode of ENTERPRISE "Two Days and Two Nights," taking place on the TNG pleasure planet Risa.
"I'm very psyched about it. It's a great episode. It's going to be a lot of fun. I've always wanted to do an Enterprise. It's a terrific show. I don't even know what [the episode] is going to be called. They've got a working title now. But I just got the beat sheet for it. It's a pleasure planet episode, and that's all I'm going to tell you," Dorn said, suggesting that the episode's title may be undergoing revision.
"We actually got it in our movie deal," Dorn said in the interview, referring to NEMESIS, in which he will reprise his role as 'Worf'. "They asked, 'What would [you] like?' and I said, 'I've been really trying to [direct].' They said, 'OK, great,' and that's how it happened."
According to the story, Dorn's episode will air immediately prior to the as-yet-untitled season finale, suggesting perhaps a schedule shift with the episode "Desert Crossings." Dorn joins fellow TNG cast member LeVar Burton and VOY actress Roxann Dawson as the latest former TREK actor to direct the newest television series. The actor has previously directed the DEEP SPACE NINE episode "In The Cards."
