JUNCTION POINT: NOT JUST ANOTHER PBeM RPG!
Junction Point is a freefloating space station that is located in that dark area between Gorn, Tholian, and Klingon space, within a whiff of the Romulan Empire. K7, as we call it, is adjacent to Sherman's Planet, where, just 76 years before, the tribble incident took place. We're set in the year 2380, after the Borg encounters and the Dominion War, at the very end of the ST-TV timelines. This is a very fastpaced game composed of a solid base of experienced and expert players, some of them professionally published in the SF-Fantasy genre. Our location is junction.the-fgn.org and we're always ready to welcome a few new players into our warm and friendly community. If our roster appears full at the positions that interest you, don't let that discourage you from joining. There's enough posting for duplications in Senior Officer positions and the imagination's the limit on civilian and other personnel. We're expecting to be around for a long time, so if you come, plan to stay! We can be reached by clicking Contact Administration or Joining the Game on our site.

    Dept: Star Trek: Nemesis

In a new article with SFX Magazine (via The Great Link) reporter Ed Gross visited the set of NEMESIS and compiled some wonderful quotes about the film from actors Brent Spiner, Patrick Stewart, Ron Perlman and Marina Sirtis, as well as production designer Herman Zimmerman and writer John Logan. The comments borderline on spoiler information for the movie.

Zimmerman talks about the new Romulan warbird set, Shinzon's 'Scimitar', which is a new, suped-up version of the Romulan vessels:

"...The reason for the big circle in this particular set for that part of the storyline is that the Scorpion, a little two-person spacecraft fighter, has to fly through the corridors of this enormous ship, eventually into this room and out that circular window. this is a Romulan ship, so we tried to retain some of the basic ideas of the Romulans. We were able to do more with costumes and that’s important. The features, because they’re on a large screen instead of a small screen, require better detail. Still, the Romulans have been kind of an art deco culture and that’s what you see, echoes of 1930s geometry in architecture, just turned sideways."

Actor Perlman, who plays the villain's right-hand man, a Reman, says of the character's role in the film: "This film has got its own unique demands and challenges and it keep me on my toes. Viceroy and Shinzon met in some sort of mining situation on Remus. Viceroy is Reman. The guy I work for was a young boy at the time. We were exiled to this mining situation on this dark planet, so I don’t do well in light. I took some sort of control over his development into this man who eventually came into power over Remus and Romulus. It’s his goal to forge an alliance against the Federation."

Marina Sirtis talks of director Stuart Baird's unique approach to the feature: "It’s different, because [Stuart Baird] wants to make it his own and we keep saying things like, ‘You know, we wouldn’t do that, because in the series…’, and it’s kind of hard for him, because he’s approaching this like it’s the first Star Trek movie. We’re having to make compromises of not necessarily referring back to what we would do, but letting him tell us, ‘Do it like you’re doing this for the first time’. He might have a point, because there may be people seeing this film who haven’t seen Star Trek before."
