The May 2002 issue of PC Gamer reports that the successful STAR TREK VOYAGER: ELITE FORCE first-person actioner will have a sequel. As summarized by Section31, the game will be developed by Ritual, who have brought such titles as Alice, Medal of Honor, SIN , Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2.
The game will be based on the Quake 3 engine with 12 single player levels consisting of from one to seven missions each.
The story of the sequel will build on the series finale of VOYAGER, "Endgame," in which the starship spent some time inside a Borg Sphere. What happened while the ship was in there?
"That's what you get to determine in this game," says a smiling Doug Pearson, Activision's producer on the project. "... You get to help determine exactly what happened," Section 31 reports from the mag.
The player will once again play Hazard Team member Alex Munroe, who upon returning to the Alpha Quadrant, will take on Romulans, Klingons, Borg, Andorians and two new species. According to the article, the development of the game is currently 40% complete.
