Part Four of the official site's GRAND SLAM X convention coverage is now available, featuring quotes and photos from appearances by Colm Meaney, Andrew Robinson, Kate Kulgrew, Roxann Dawson, Robert Duncan McNeill, Ricardo Montalban and more. Here are some brief excerpts:
Meaney spoke fondly of his TNG and DS9 experience, saying, "It's unusual for a character to develop like that on a series," he said, referring to his part in TNG. "Usually you're cast as [a principal] character for the pilot episode and then you're set as that." But in his case, "They always wanted to develop the character more but they couldn't really find the space on Next Generation to do that because there were so many other characters there. So they asked me if I would go over to DS9 in order to develop the character more, and I was happy to do that." The celebrated actor also named his favorite DS9 eps as "Past Tense" and "Captive Pursuit."
Mulgrew commended the VOYAGER finale "Endgame" and also hyped her cameo in NEMESIS, saying, ""I'm in it!" she said gleefully. "I'm telling that old sod what to do and how to do it. It was so much fun bossing Captain Picard around!" And how big is her part? "Don't blink," she said.
Robinson joked about his life post-Garak, "There is life after the Garak book!" he proclaimed, referring to his novel A Stitch in Time about the aftermath of the Dominion War on Cardassia. "That book is near and dear to my heart. I got out a lot of stuff I wanted to say about the character, and also about me. Because, basically, after a while there's that strange symbiotic relationship that happens between an actor and (a character). When you really love a role and you really get inside the skin of that role, that's what happens. And that happened with me and Garak."

Meanwhile, the official site hosted a live chat last week with DS9 actor Casey Biggs ('Damar') and the transcript has been posted here.
"My favorite episode was the one Rene Auberjonois directed, where Damar finally got fed up and decided to stop drinking that awful Kanar, and decided to become a rebel. That was my favorite episode," Biggs said, in the extensive chat that covers all sorts of topics from Damar to his early acting gigs to the potential of writing a TREK novel.
