Dept: Star Trek BBS Update
Good Tuesday afternoon to all of you from somewhere here in the Central United States. I am a day late with the update, but I promise you I’m not a dollar short. What a week it has been. From ENTERPRISE and back again with the Ferengi, to the Release of Star Trek: The Next Generation on DVD, it has been a good week for Trek fans. As always folks, if you haven’t started posting on the BBS we invite you to do so by going here. The STAR TREK BBS. has been interesting as always, so drop on by. Without further ado about nothing, away we go…
Last Tuesday got started off with EntFan! wanting to change that one moment. In the thread he asked if we could go back in time and change one moment, I believe and embarrassing one, what would it be? The Visitor said he would go back and stop himself from reading the thread. My god this thread was just plain off the hook.
On Wednesday Ensign-Ro-Your-Boat would ask us why we even bother arguing about the quality of ENTERPRISE? Folks, now I am warning you, he actually has the audacity to call Jerry Springer and WWF Raw low quality programs. You heard it here first, that takes nerve. I never…
Later on that some night would bring in the reviews for Acquisition. I think that most of us thought it wasn’t that bad. The continuity issue seemed to bother quite a few folks, but hey when doesn’t it? The day that continuity doesn’t bother Trek fans is they day that George Lucas’ writing doesn’t bother Star Wars fans.
Thursday and Friday would see the conclusion of another round of Star Trek Survivor, and the start of another. More VOYAGER crewmembers took the fall in the latest additions of this Survivor. Who will be the next to be voted off the island (cue cool Survivor music).
On Saturday DeQueue would ask if Arafat is purposely incompetent? A refreshing change of pace talk about politics here on TrekWeb. The political conversations have been held to a minimum as of late, and frankly I would like to see more of them.
And yesterday on April Fool’s Day everyone (not myself for sure) fell for Wil Wheaton saying he was going to be on ENTERPRISE with the Traveler, or whatever lame storyline they used to get rid of him. Beefies asked if it was for real or just an April Fool’s joke. Thank god Wil himself admitted it was an April Fool’s joke over at his admittedly lame website. How bad would it have been to see Wesley kick Archer’s all over the place? Very bad my man.
Well this week the winner for sig of the week has got to go to Anarchos with a classic line from the General himself:
"The object of war is not to die for your country, but make the other bastard die for his."
- General George Patton
Thanks for stopping in, and I hope everyone had a Happy Easter. Til next time,
Trips
