JUNCTION POINT: NOT JUST ANOTHER PBeM RPG!
Junction Point is a freefloating space station that is located in that dark area between Gorn, Tholian, and Klingon space, within a whiff of the Romulan Empire. K7, as we call it, is adjacent to Sherman's Planet, where, just 76 years before, the tribble incident took place. We're set in the year 2380, after the Borg encounters and the Dominion War, at the very end of the ST-TV timelines. This is a very fastpaced game composed of a solid base of experienced and expert players, some of them professionally published in the SF-Fantasy genre. Our location is junction.the-fgn.org and we're always ready to welcome a few new players into our warm and friendly community. If our roster appears full at the positions that interest you, don't let that discourage you from joining. There's enough posting for duplications in Senior Officer positions and the imagination's the limit on civilian and other personnel. We're expecting to be around for a long time, so if you come, plan to stay! We can be reached by clicking Contact Administration or Joining the Game on our site.

The latest issue of Star Trek Monthly out in the UK (via Sci-Fi Pulse) features a new interview with actor John Fleck, who before taking on the role of the Suliban 'Silik' for the ENTERPRISE pilot "Broken Bow" and the single follow-up to date, "Cold Front," appeared in DEEP SPACE NINE's "The Search."

Of his newest TREK fole he recalls the casting process: "They bought me in to audition because I guess they knew it was possibly going to be a bigger role and they wanted just to make me work a little bit for it”, the actor grins. “They didn’t give the entire script out. It was just two sides. I had no idea that it would be a recurring role."

He also talks of director Robert Duncan McNeill's take on one of the Archer/Silik interchanges in last year's "Cold Front": “The first scene we did was in the bedroom, when Archer walks in and I give him that whole thing. Robbie kept saying ‘don’t play it evil, just talk to him, tell him the truth. Don’t play like you’re evil and this isn’t the truth. Is this the truth? Who knows?’ I did here afterwards, from someone, that the powers-that-be, higher up felt that it was too nice, and they needed more of an evil edge in there. We tried to compensate for that in a couple of places to make me a little more threatening, to get me back in that position”

The actor goes on to say as of the time of the interview, he hadn't been asked back yet: “I’m just waiting to hear when and if they need me. I have no idea if, when or how the next episode is going to happen. I’m just assuming, based on (The Cold Front) script, that there is a possibility that the character will come back."

While the deadline of Star Trek Monthly is unknown, it is common for magazine interviews to be conducted several weeks if not months before publication. Since the season finale, "Shockwave," began filming on March 27th, it is likely that if Silik is to return, Fleck may not have been notifed until after this conversation took place. That said, there is still no information on the plot for the finale, other than some vague comments by executive producer Brannon Braga at the Grand Slam convention two weeks ago, confirming that the episode would deal with the Temporal Cold War storyline in some manner.

For the rest of this interview, in which the actor also talks about the shadowy "FutureGuy" character, check out this page.
