If you live in the Southern California area, or are contemplating a
visit there in May or June, don't miss Robert Picardo's first stage
appearance since he took the role of the Doctor on STAR TREK: VOYAGER in the Pasadena Playhouse production of A CLASS ACT. The actor's official fan club sends along word that "he'll sing, he'll dance, he's even growing a beard for the part... it should
be a wonderful experience!"
The play will run May 3 through June 16th and has its official opening on Sunday, May 12th. Directed by Lonny Price with music and lyrics by Ed Kleban, the Pasadena Playhouse provides this description of the 2001 Tony Award-winning play:
"A Class Act" is a
touching and loving tribute to Ed Kleban (lyricist of A Chorus Line)
and
his life-long search for friendship, love and success. A love letter to
musical theater, "A Class Act" takes you behind the scenes and into the
hearts of the rare, colorful people who make the musicals we grow up
with and fall in love with. For anyone who has ever struggled to make a
personal dream come true, "A Class Act" is the musical to see. Linda
Winer of Newsday wrote "Who could have dared hope that 'A Class Act'
would turn out to be such good - not to mention entertaining and even
inspirational - news! We are unpredictably touched and grateful."
How would you rate the latest ENT episode, VOX SOLA, on a scale from 1 (bad) to 10 (excellent) in comparison to the best and the worst episodes of the previous Star Trek television series?
