According to The Digital Bits' Rumor Mill page, STAR TREK's third series may be hitting the street in DVD box sets in 2003. The news comes mainly as a rumor, but with the final season of NEXT GENERATION slated for release in a DVD box set December 31st of this year, it is entirely conceiveable the DEEP SPACE NINE may begin next year.
The site offers no speculation of possible extras for the sets, though speculation at TDB has historically been a pretty reliable indicator of things to come.
Side Note: Hopefully you notice that TrekWeb is running faster. We have upgraded to a new server in what had to be the fastest and smoothest server migration known to man. Unfortunately, the move is more the result of good will and luck than a sudden boost in financial well-being for the site, but rest assured this new upgrade should give us increased capacity to bring new features and do our best to ensure that TrekWeb content always remains free.
