JUNCTION POINT: NOT JUST ANOTHER PBeM RPG!
Junction Point is a freefloating space station that is located in that dark area between Gorn, Tholian, and Klingon space, within a whiff of the Romulan Empire. K7, as we call it, is adjacent to Sherman's Planet, where, just 76 years before, the tribble incident took place. We're set in the year 2380, after the Borg encounters and the Dominion War, at the very end of the ST-TV timelines. This is a very fastpaced game composed of a solid base of experienced and expert players, some of them professionally published in the SF-Fantasy genre. Our location is junction.the-fgn.org and we're always ready to welcome a few new players into our warm and friendly community. If our roster appears full at the positions that interest you, don't let that discourage you from joining. There's enough posting for duplications in Senior Officer positions and the imagination's the limit on civilian and other personnel. We're expecting to be around for a long time, so if you come, plan to stay! We can be reached by clicking Contact Administration or Joining the Game on our site.

Join the fan effort to keep DS9 aliveThis otherwise slow news week is a great opportunity to give some publicity to the online fan movement to revive STAR TREK's third child, STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE, in one form or another. It's easy to forget that it was because of fan petitions that the original STAR TREK continued into its third season and even in this era of conglomeration, niche groups of core fans are becoming more important as entertainment options become more targeted and the array of franchises increases each and every year.

TrekWeb was recently sent an update on the "Make a DS9 Movie" petition, which has collected over 6,000 petitions thusfar, and asks Paramount to consider production of a DEEP SPACE NINE feature film or television movie. The petition could be completed and delivered to Paramount as early as next January.

      Greetings!

    • The petition is doing well!! At the last update, we had 5482 signatures. We now have 6159. The petition has grown by 677 signatures.
    • The poll to determine when the petition should be sent in to Paramount will be closed on May 1st so if you haven't voted yet, now's the time.
    • There are now two new smaller banners available along with the 3 larger ones if you want to put one on your site and help promote the petition. It doesn't have to be a DS9 site by the way.
    • If you still haven't signed the petition or voted in the poll, go here: http://www.starfleetlibrary.com/ds9petition

If you're a DEEP SPACE NINE fan, take a minute to visit this site and sign the petition. Collective action can draw attention and with the power of the Internet, it's much easier today than for those pioneering fans in the late Sixties who we owe for 35 years of STAR TREK that may never have happened without their dedicated efforts.
