Scott Bakula will join actress Chelsea Field on stage in his home town of St. Louis, MO for two performances of the play "I Do! I Do!" this summer, according to Project Quantum Leap. Benefiting the Our Little Haven therapeutic residential treatment facility, the performances will be on Sunday June 23, 2002 and Monday June 24, 2002 at 7:00pm at the Terri M. Fischer Theater in St. Louis.
According to the press release, "I Do! I Do!" is the story of a marriage at the center of this intimate and nostalgic work by Harvey Schmidt (music) and Tom Jones (book, lyrics), the authors of "The Fantasticks". The show opens with Michael (Bakula) and Agnes (Field) looking back on their wedding day and traces their life together over a period of 50 years. We watch them go through their wedding night jitters, raise a family, negotiate mid-life crises, quarrel, separate, reconcile and grow old together, all lovingly to the strains of a tuneful, charming score which includes the standard "My Cup Runneth Over."
Tickets are $25 and can be ordered by calling 1-866-4-I DO I DO (866-443-6436).
Meanwhile, VOYAGER actress Kate Mulgrew will join most her former STAR TREK castmates at a benefit dinner for her husband, Ohio gubernatorial candidate Tim Hagan. According to Totally Kate!, the Cleveland Entertainment Extravaganza on Saturday, August 24th at the Allen Theater at Playhouse Square will benefit Hagan's campaign and feature appearances by the VOYAGER cast, William Shatner, a gala banquet, a private reception, and a memorabilia auction.
