Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda is being launched on Region 2 DVD by Contender Entertainment. The series makes its DVD debut with Volume 1.1, which presents uncut versions of the series' first five episodes : Under The Night, An Affirming Flame, To Loose The Faithful Lightning, D Minus Zero and Double Helix. Volume 1.1 extras package includes interviews with series star Kevin Sorbo and former head producer Robert Hewitt Wolfe, episode comments by Sorbo, never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes, cast biographies, trailers, an Andromeda Ascendant gallery stills and an exclusive web link.

Volume 1.2 will be released on 24th June 2002 and features an Eureka Maru gallery stills, interviews with actress Lexa Doig and Lisa Ryder, trailers and behind-the-scenes footage, deleted scenes and episode comments by Sorbo.
