Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Speaking in the special SFX: Deepspace Collector's Edition magazine in the UK recently (via Sci-Fi Pulse), Patrick Stewart says he's learned to admire Jean-Luc Picard as an honorable figure to be so closely associated with.
"Picard is a very active presence in my present," he says, referring to the fourth TNG feature NEMESIS. "There was a time, perhaps five or six years ago, when I was irritated. That irritation has passed now, probably because until this present movie it was four years since the last one, and I felt I was getting on with my life and career. But for a while I was irritated by the fact that it seemed that the world was largely identifying me as Jean Luc Picard. But that’s fine, because I think that on the whole he’s an admirable character. If he were a scumbag, it would be another matter. But he wasn’t, and many of the things that he did and said were exemplary, and I had some influence on what those things were."
But with three TREK series following him, does Stewart feel like the grandfather of the franchise?
"It’s hard for me to feel as though I’m the patriarch when I’m sitting across the dinner table from Bill [Shatner]," he makes reference to his friendship with the TOS actor.
"I feel as though I am part of… a lineage... We literally spoke in our first movie, ‘Generations’ of the torch actually being passed from Bill to me. There was a metaphor in that, and given that we’d already done seven seasons of the television show, it was as though we’d graduated to become fully-fledged members of ‘Star Trek’ when Bill’s character died at the end of ‘Generations’"
