Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

The NBC network has announced plans for a new television movie based on Stephen King's CARRIE, the same novel that spawned the Brian de Palma and Sissy Spacek film of 1976. Among the personnel involved in this latest production are STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION producer and director David Livingston, who most recently directed ENTERPRISE's "Strange New World" and "Shuttlepod One," and David Carson, who directed TNG's "Yesterday's Enterprise" and the motion picture debut for the series, GENERATIONS. Livingston serves as line producer on CARRIE and Carson is directing the film in Vancouver. The movie will premiere on NBC in the fall.
Meanwhile TREK vet Michael Piller is enjoying unprecedented success with his Stephen King adaptation, THE DEAD ZONE, currently bringing in stellar ratings for USA Network. The series third episode garnered a 4.7 overnight rating, the same number gathered by its premiere episode on June 16th, according to Broadcasting & Cable. The debut episode went on to become the most watched cable television series premiere ever.
