Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Scott Bakula talks in the new issue of SFX Magazine (excerpts via The Great Link), talking about his pleasure with the writing in season one and his hopes as the series progresses.
"I did call them, and I said, `I so appreciate the number of really great scripts you've given us this first year and I'm happy to be here'," Bakula comments referring to the telephone call he made after reading the "Shockwave" script. "The truth is, we've all got along really well and that's a big part of the excitement. At the end of the day, after you've got through the first year or so - and it doesn't matter if you're doing Enterprise, a police show or a lawyer show - it really becomes about who you're there with. Not just the people sharing the stage with you, but the people who are sending scripts down and your executive producers. It was a great feeling. And those things - and they're intangibles - come across on screen."
Bakula says while he hopes Captain Archer continues to grow, he will make an effort to make sure the character never gets complacent or bored about exploring space.
"I have to take my hat off to the writers and this whole new wrinkle they've added with the Vulcans and humans not necessarily being great pals. That's provided a nice breath of fresh air to the whole scenario. So that's an aspect of the show that's grown, and I think Archer's feelings for T'Pol have changed," he says, citing one way Archer has begun to change for the better.
He also says that while episodes like "Dear Doctor" really helped personlize the grand adventure of the series with elements like the letters from home, the first season wasn't flawless.
"The only weaknesses I can see this past season is that maybe there were some episodes that had endings that were a Iittle convenient or too ambitious, and we didn't have the time or the sets or the budget to pay them off properly. The challenge of a series is that you can't shoot the pilot every week and you don't have the same number of days, the location or the opportunity to shoot a snowstorm for two or three days, so you have to find a way to satisfy the audience and satisfy the story."
Finally, the actor acknowledges that outside pressure may have steered certain stories more toward action than the producers may have wanted.
"There was a certain... urging by the studio to have a more active kind of series at times than the producers wanted, some of Brannon's favourite episodes and mine were less about the techno stuff and the physical activity, and more about the characters. I think the first year was more towards the physical stuff than they had been doing [on Voyager]. Yet I think with this cast we have an opportunity to have a really great balance."
Bakula also names some of his favorite episodes of season one and his hopes for year two. Read more excerpts here.
