Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Michael Piller began one of the most unprecedented creative policies in Hollywood when he became executive producer and head writer on STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION in its third season. Willing to accept good ideas from anywhere, Piller instituted the television industry's first-ever open script submission policy, allowing anyone without an agent to submit up to two STAR TREK scipts.
The most famous writer to join the staff from this policy was Ronald D. Moore, whose "The Bonding" was bought outright by Piller when scripts were short in the early days of TNG (Clarification: despite the common story that RDM joined the staff as a result of the open script submission policy, TW has been informed that Moore actually submitted his script through an agent before the OSSP was institued). Moore went on to become a co-executive producer on DEEP SPACE NINE and co-write the first two NEXT GEN features. The policy has been suspended by Paramount for the latest STAR TREK series, ENTEPRISE, due to the enormous amount of resources involved in continuing it.
But now Piller is shaking up the entertainment industry again as the executive producer of USA Network's new hit series, THE DEAD ZONE. According to an announcement on the show's official web site, the full teleplays for all DEAD ZONE episodes will be made available to download from the Internet after the episode makes its first broadcast.
In addition, USA is making available the first act of the coming week's episode. You can now read the first act of Sunday's installment "Enemy Mind." Adobe Acrobat format is required to view and Piller challenges fans to find what parts of the scripts make the final cut into the episodes and which do not. While we scratch and claw to get episode tidbits for the latest STAR TREK episodes, Piller welcomes fans to check out his series' scripts and is truly embracing the Internet community in ways Hollywood has never imagined.
