Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

August 27th will be the first ever STAR TREK Meetup, a non-profit organized meeting of STAR TREK fans from all over the world. Meetup was launched recently as an avenue for like-minded people to get together at a popular local venue and engage in all sorts of socialization. Already the fans of the "news for nerds" site Slashdot have begun meeting up, and the groups range from X-box enthusiasts to fans of STARGATE SG-1.
Meetups take place in 540 cities worldwide and beginning August 1st, STAR TREK Meetup members may begin voting on the venues in various localities all over the world. Venus include bookstores, cafes, restaurants, and even parks and
bowling alleys and locations are never imposed upon members. The first TREK Meetup will be August 27th and "go down" once a month thereafter.
The service is entirely free and doesn't sell advertising on its web site or its user information to anyone. Head on over to startrek.meetup.com to get registered to begin voting on venues in your hometown next Thursday. Remember, if you Meetup with fellow fans, don't forget to spread the word about TrekWeb.com!
React to this story below and then see what others are saying about this topic at the STAR TREK BBS.
