Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

SCIFI.COM has just posted the transcript of their July 30 chat with William Shatner. Here are some excerpts :
SCIFI : So Mr. Shatner, have you ever considered doing a serious science fiction role again ? Something not Trek ?
Shatner : I helped write and directed and acted in a science fiction film of my own. It's called GROOM LAKE, and it's out there right now being sold. Hopefully you'll see it soon.
SCIFI : What does Mr. Shatner think of the new show ENTERPRISE ?
Shatner : I have never seen ENTERPRISE, although I've heard some wonderful things about it, and certainly our leading man is well-known, and well-respected.
SCIFI : Any more audio books in the works ? I would especially love to see/hear some more TEK !
Shatner : I just completed the audio on the next Captain Kirk book that will be out in September, called CAPTAIN'S PERIL. The audio part of it should be out simultaneously. And by the way, I've got the new book I've written, entitled I'M WORKING ON THAT, in your bookstores now, or very soon. It takes the science suggested by STAR TREK and then I interviewed scientists all across the country on how close or how far they're coming to that STAR TREK world. And then try to explain their answer so that you and I understand what the scientists have said. I think it's a terrific read and it's funny as well.
SCIFI : Do you plan on writing anymore books following up your books of Ashes of Eden, The Return, Avenger and Spectre or anymore Trek related books ?
Shatner : As I said earlier, CAPTAIN'S PERIL, the next STAR TREK book, will be out in September. And there'll be two more books in that particular trilogy, which deals with love. After that I don't know, and don't forget -- I'M WORKING ON THAT is out there now.
SCIFI : Let's talk about GROOM LAKE for a bit. What was it like working with J.R. Bookwalter on the set of GROOM LAKE ?
Shatner : The production of GROOM LAKE was as efficient as it is possible to do with a limited budget. My wife Elisabeth was of great help in getting the film completed. And I really feel that she and I tested our love by doing a film so rapidly and under such fatiguing circumstances. The story of GROOM LAKE is a love story. It's about a lady who is going to die and seeks to find comfort in the possibility of life after death if she could see a UFO. So she goes to Groom Lake, which is Area 51, where all the UFOs seem to gather, in a effort to see some life other than human. And that essentially is the adventure of Groom Lake.
