Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

The official STAR TREK web site reported late yesterday that episode three of the new season, "Minefield," completed production on July 31st. The episode, featuring Malcolm Reed outside the ship defusing a mine and introducing the NX-01 crew to their first encounter with the Romulans, began shooting July 19th on the bridge set.

Various ship sets were filmed next, with an entire day devoted to filming in Sickbay last Thursday. This scene involves several injured crewmen, perhaps a hint as to the Romulans' "lethal" encounter with the Enterprise.

According to the report, the Enterprise "encounters a minefield planted near a planet, and when one of the mines attaches itself to the ship's hull, Malcolm Reed steps out into the vacuum of space to disarm it. When he runs into trouble, Captain Archer takes it upon himself to save him."

The remainder of the shoot took place on a new set designed to represent the outside hull of the NX-01 and will feature Scott Bakula and Dominic Keating in the bulky environmental suits first seen in last year's "Fight or Flight."

Directed by STAR TREK veteran James Contner, "Minefield" will be the third season two episode to air. ENTERPRISE premieres September 18th on UPN. Check out the full story here.
