Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

StarTrek.com has published part one of its Day Two coverage of the Creation Entertainment "Real Deal" convention last weekend in Las Vegas, including photos and quotes from a milieu of STAR TREK personalities, both on-screen and off.
Kate Mulgrew took the stage and spoke of her busy year, which has scene her campaigning alongside her Democratic candidate for Ohio governor husband, Tim Hagan. She also mentioned her critically-acclaimed stage place TEA AT FIVE, in which she plays screen legend Katherine Hepburn. Mulgrew announced she hopes to bring the production to Cleveland, Boston and New York after the election cycle.

She also talked about her cameo on the upcoming STAR TREK: NEMESIS, saying, "I am giving Jean-Luc Picard his instructions! That was really fun. I shot the thing in two hours, maximum. Patrick Stewart was so sweet."
Next up was ENTERPRISE co-creator/producer Brannon Braga, who joked that if he could give advice to his younger self, it'd be: "Don't kill Kirk!"
The discussions of continuity contined (see earlier report) and this time Brannon talked what he considers his "only major continuity transgression: VOYAGER's "Future's End."
"We did a show where Janeway and company went to 1996 and there were no Eugenics Wars going on in that episode. And yes, people got upset. But if we had done [that], we couldn't have had all the fun of seeing contemporary things that you and I know and appreciate and the characters relating to those things."
William Shatner took the stage next after flying in from Kentucky and entertained the fans with tales of airport security and named "kissing Uhura" his favorite moment from TOS.
Leonard Nimoy answered questions about MIND MELD and STAR TREK II (just released on Director's Edition DVD) and made it clear that he'll appear in no future installments of STAR TREK:
"My acting and directing life is behind me, right now I'm really enjoying my life. These days my creative energy goes into photography," he told fans.
Next was the presentation of Nimoy's Lifetime Achievement Award, for which he was joined on stage by fellow TOS cohorts George Takei, Walter Koenig, and Nichelle Nichols, followed by Shatner, who presented the award after proclaiming "I taught him everything he knows!"
For more photos and the complete report, check out this page. More from the Vegas con to come, we're sure.
