Become a 24th century Starfleet officer! Heed the call and
expect the unexpected at Star Trek: A Call to Duty! (0 comments | Add)
Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

Speaking with New York Times columnist Ian Spelling, prolific STAR TREK guest actor Jeffrey Combs, who played the Andorian 'Shran' in ENTERPRISE's "The Andorian Incident" and "Shadows of P'Jem" last season, as well as a Ferengi in the episode "Acquisition," says the door is always open for either role to continue.
"I used to make the joke that, as long as a character doesn't die, he could come back again. But as fans of Deep Space Nine certainly know, Weyoun proved that wrong -- Weyoun died about six times," Combs said of his fan-favorite DS9 role. "Even death doesn't preclude anyone from coming back on Star Trek," he told Spelling.
Combs says comments by ENTERPRISE co-creator Brannon Braga seem to indicate a strong likelihood that the Andorians could be back on the series soon.
"I've read (co-executive producer) Brannon Braga commenting that he liked the Andorian episodes and is very open to having the Andorians return. I've also talked to a couple of the writers, and there have been ... unofficial assurances that Shran would show up," he says.
But that's not all. According to Combs, producers were so fond of the Ferengi installment last season that the door is anywhere but closed.
"I'd also heard, just after we did the Ferengi episode, that the producers really liked it, so the Enterprise might run into the Ferengi again at some point... the options are wide open."
Combs spoke thoroughly of his new detective/supernatural thriller, FEAR DOT COM, landing in theaters August 30th.
"FearDotCom is sort of 'Seven' meets 'What Lies Beneath'. It starts out with a detective (Stephen Dorff) who has a case that he's never been able to solve, and I am Sykes, his detective-partner in the office next to his. My character is the antithesis of Dorff's. The role is really a departure for me," he said. "It's not at all what people would expect of me. This guy is slovenly, apathetic, cynical, been there and done that. He's a good detective, but he just doesn't care anymore."
The film takes a contemporary twist when the only common link between the victims turns out to be the fact they all logged on to a particular Internet web site. To read more of the interview courtesy of The Official Jeffrey Combs Fan Club, check out this page.
