Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

The official STAR TREK web site has updated us once again on the production of the second season of ENTERPRISE, this time on the grueling shooting schedule of episode six, "Marauders." First revealed by TrekWeb in detail two weeks ago, the episode will feature the return of the Klingons, last seen in season one's "Sleeping Dogs." The characterization of the Klingons this time around also seems to be somewhat of a throw back to the TOS-era.
The official site describes the episode as "an epic tale in the style of an old Western about a colony of deuterium miners being harassed by Klingons," and says that the last five days have been spent on location at a rock quarry in Ventura County, which is providing the alien locale.
The report indicates that the eight-day production schedule began last Wednesday with shooting on Enterprise sets and interior shots meant to convey the inside of the deuterium miners' hovels -- metal shelters with round roofs. We're also introduced to a new Enterprise set in the episode, the Ship's Gym.
On location Monday, dozens of extras helped complete the scene of the colony complete with deuterium pumps, a landed shuttlepod and huts. Klingons arrived on Tuesday to shoot strenuous action sequences.
According to this newest report, "Marauders" is directed by TREK veteran Mike Vejar from a teleplay by David Wilcox (story by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga).
Guest characters have also been anounced, with Larry Cedar as 'Tessic', one of the colony leaders. Cedar has previously appeared in VOY's "Alliances" and DS9's "Armageddon Game." Bari Hochwald, previously guesting on VOY's "Friendship One" and DS9's "Explorers," plays 'E'Lis', a female colony doctor who visits Doctor Phlox on the NX-01. Finally, the boisterous Klingon role of 'Korok' is played by TNG vet Robertson Dean, who guested in "Face of the Enemy."
For more plot information, check out TrekWeb's "Marauders" mission log below or check out the original story here.
Meanwhile, in the new "Returning Favorites" issue of TV Guide television critc Matt Roush says ENTERPRISE is the "freshest" thing to happen to STAR TREK since TNG. The issue features some brief teasers about upcoming episodes and in response to whether Scott Bakula's 'Captain Archer' will make it back from the 31st Century Rick Berman jokes: "Let's hope he does, or we'll have to put out a casting call."
Roush rounds up his look at UPN's returning number one drama with the following sentiment: "Neither the best of Trek nor the worst of Trek, Enterprise will live long and prosper no matter what."
Pick up the September 7-13 issue of TVG on stands now. Thanks to TrekWeb reader Matthew Rojanakiathavorn for the info!
