Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses, bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices, check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away from home.

The latest edition of The Stax Report at the IGN Film Force website takes a look at the script of one of next year's most anticipated genre films - X-MEN 2 (a.k.a X2). As STAR TREK fans know well, ST:TNG star Patrick Stewart returns as 'Professor Xavier' and is very pleased with the sequel script. The actor has been promoting the movie in convention appearances recently and even X-MEN director Bryan Singer makes a cameo in NEMESIS as one of the 1701-E bridge officers.

IGN resident script reviewer 'Stax' read the April 30, 2002 dated draft and loved every page of it. Here are some excerpts from his review (beware of SPOILERS):

"Judging by this production draft, X2 is one sequel that will live up to (and likely exceed) its considerable hype" wrote the IGN reviewer "It offers a far better, more exciting, and expansive story than the first film, which I enjoyed but it's now clear to me that it was mainly 100 minutes of exposition meant to set up X2. With the explanation of mutation having now been provided, and the philosophical conflict between Xavier and Magneto established, X2 offers the spectator a far greater view of the world that the X-Men inhabit."

"[...] X2 clips along at a brisk pace with only a few 'commercial breaks' along the way. It is very much like an old serial, being merely the next chapter in a much larger saga. The ending, which has shades of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and STAR TREK III, is an obvious yet enticing set up for X-MEN 3. It provokes that one question every storyteller wants to hear : what happens next ? Our heroes are left in a real pickle by the end of X2 and I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for them."

You can read the full review here. X2 hits theaters next summer.
