Typhon Station is a very fastpaced PBeM RPG with skilled, experienced
players and a warm sense of bonding and community. We play at the
turn-of-the-century, 2400, and are located in the Typhon Expanses,
bordering the Neutral Zone, proximate to the Romulan Empire, and near
the Iconian Digs, and are on the first warning route of the original
Borg Incursion.
We have three stations to post from, SB 185, USS Odyssey, and USS
Wraith. They all have general and particular storylines and all
interact. This game is not for the faint of heart! The writing is
superb and comes hot and heavy. We have some open spots and also we
will consider character suggestions. So, longtime RPGers and novices,
check us out. See if you want to make Typhon Station your home away
from home. (0 comments | Add)

The 54th Annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards (commonly known as the technical Emmys) were held last night and the fifth STAR TREK series brought home UPN's only two honors of the night.
The series pilot, "Broken Bow," won Outstanding Special Visual Effects For A Series, beating out fellow episode "Breaking the Ice" and installments of Sci-Fi's STARGATE SG-1 and the WB's SMALLVILLE. The VFX team for ENTERPRISE was lead by veteran visal effects producer Dan Curry and supervisor Ronald B. Moore. The winners also include visual effects coordinators Arthur Codron and Elizabeth Castro, compositing editors Paul Hill and Steven Fong, visual effects animator Gregory Rainoff and computer animation supervisors Robert Bonchune and David Morton.
"Two Days and Two Nights" won Outstanding Hairstyling For A Series, beating out ABC's ALIAS, fellow UPN nominee BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, HBO's SEX AND THE CITY and SIX FEET UNDER. The ENTERPRISE team of winners include designer Michael Moore and hairstylists Gloria Pasqua, Roma Goddard, Laura Connolly and Cheri Ruff.
The series lost in Outstanding Makeup For A Series (Prosthetic) to SIX FEET UNDER and gave up Outstanding Sound Editing For A Series to SMALLVILLE.
Last year's Emmy ceremony brought the previous STAR TREK series, VOYAGER, two Creative Emmy wins. Composer Jay Chattaway's "Endgame" score won for Outstanding Musical Composition For A Series and Dan Curry et al won for the same episode's visual effects.
Check out this page for a full run down of all the night's winners and thanks to TrekWeb reader Mattthew Rojanakiathavorn for the tip!
